A Rhodium and Diamond harmony ring for Michelle Obama Celebrities
Wow, President-elect Obama as ordered a $30,000 rhodium-diamond ring as a "thank you" gift for his wife's support during the past year or so of hard campaigning.
I'm speechless! It seems to extravagant given the current situation in the US with the economy, and people struggling. I guess I live in a different world than the political elite do. I love my wife dearly and thank for being the perfect partner every chance I get...but toasting $30 G's on a ring for her is something I'll probably never be able to do in my wildest dreams.
The Harmony ring is made of rhodium, which is the world's most expensive metal, and is encrusted with diamonds. The posh gift is being crafted by Italian designer Giovanni Bosco in time for January's inauguration ceremony. A spokesman for Bosco described it as "our top of the range piece and made from rhodium and encrusted with diamonds."
